I spend most of today getting my new LincolnCar fixed up to drive with so many little things wrong. Starting with a new water pump, all new belts that drive all the engine orgins,an oil change,fill up with all antifreeze,a new turn signal light,a new battery from Autozone,A new set of tires from Pep Boys 4 for $99.00 but adding to my bill without asking me was balancing at 35.96,new valves at 8.00 for the stems,South Carolina waste excise tax$8.00 and a tax the store put on to dispose of old tires of $4.00. The tires were good and cheap but if I had gotten a front end alignment,it would have all cost me as much again as the tires. Most are bad ford. A very sad note of another world crash and not just in stocks. At 8 pm tonight Swiss air took off from JFK for Geneva with 229, By the time this McDonnel Douglas MD80 improved DC10 reached 29m thousand feet,there was reported smoke in the cockpit. The plane was cleared to land at Boston but was closer to Nova Scotia Can- ada and begin dumping jet fuel into the sea while descending to 10,000 feet when it disappeared off radar and crashed in the sea 5 miles offshore. There were no survivors. What a pity and it did not appear to be a bomb but more like Valuejet crash in Florida I say. We load our planes with danger everyday and expect to get a- way without a fatal accident. The planes as I said before will I believe stop flying not only from the Arab treat of blowing them up or down in this case,but from problems we generate in operat- ions. The thing has gotten too big. SwissAir is worldwide with no fatal crash in 20 years. This takes out alot of important people. Switzerland has enjoyed the verybest of times being untouched and protected in all the war as a neutral banking country holding the money of all Europe and for both sides. Their big secret has now been exposed by one single man who escaped to America with proof of the crime against the people who paid the price with their own lifes blood. This one man lives in NewYork today with his family.
